Jonathan
Mitchell graduated with BA Hons in Fine Art from
Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee in
1990. From 1992 to present, Jonathan has exhibited
in various solo and group exhibitions throughout
Scotland. He was awarded the Pat Holmes Memorial
Prize for drawing and has published works including
a commission in 1994 by Mathew Gloag and Sons to
produce seven paintings depicting the Open
Championship golf courses in the UK. These were
subsequently published in the form of 15,000 prints
which were distributed nationwide to promote the
sponsorship of the Championship. In 2008 Jonathan
began working with RJC Publishing (Scotland) who are
releasing selected paintings as a series of limited
edition prints. The artist also completed a
recording of the CD “Bonfirenight. (An Artwork in
the Medium of Sound)” which features music composed
and performed by Jonathan. |
