Nigel
Grounds is a Scottish landscape painter. Since
childhood, Nigel has lived and worked in Skye and
the West Coast of Scotland. He was educated at
Portree High School, Skye, and at Gray's School of
Art, Aberdeen, from which he graduated with a B.A. (Hons)
in 1986. This is Nigel's seventh Solo Exhibition at
The Rendezvous Gallery. His paintings, rich in
warmth and colour, reflect the strong light which is
common in the West Coast of Scotland.
Nigel's
paintings are held in various Public and Private
Collections, including Highland Regional Council;
The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen; Heriot Watt
University, Edinburgh; Aberdeen University;
Clydesdale Bank; Paul Mellon Foundation; Aberdeen
University Department of Medical Practice,
Foresterhill, Aberdeen; Aberdeen Asset Management;
the Royal Bank of Scotland and HRH The Prince of
