"I work from life, about life, and my aim is to translate visual experience into the reality of paint. In this series of work there are three veins: representational work, abstracted paintings concerned with colour and marks used, and paintings that connect and question the viewer in a more cerebral way.

In each area a triggering of a visual, sensory recognition in the audience is paramount as a visual language is explored."
