Bill Gibb
     

A RARE AND EARLY SUEDE ENSEMBLE FOR BACCARAT, CIRCA 1969

Caramel suede circle skirt and jacket with separate belt, printed with various Native American motifs, labelled BACCARAT.

Early in his career, Gibb spent three years with Baccarat, between 1968-1971.  His fantastic creations were often based upon mythical and folk themes, as well as rich and ornate shapes and fabrics.  This suit is a good example of these themes which played out throughout his career, and which were crystallizing during his time with Baccarat.
